What are some cool organizations that I can join?

What are my dining plan options?
There are four (4) dining plans available. Please go to UCR Dining to find out more information.

Can I get to UCR on RTA busses?
All UCR students get a free bus pass! Just follow the steps here to claim your pass. If you would like to learn more about routes or other bus options, please go to UCR Transportation.

What resources are available at the libraries?
UCR has two (2) libraries! Rivera Library is located by the Bell Tower, and its primary focus is humanities, social sciences, and arts collections. The Orbach Library is located in the Physics Courtyard, and it supports life and physical sciences, including engineering, agriculture, and medicine.

Where can I park my car on campus?
First-year residents are not allowed to bring a vehicle to campus. If you are a first-year commuter, you may purchase a parking permit by visiting Transportation Services.

How do I find out what events are going on around campus?
One way is to check out the Events Calendar. Another way is to follow organizations, resource centers, and departments on Instagram or other social media. For example, @aspb_ucr, @ucrrha, @asucr, @ucrstudentaffairs, @thewellucr, @ucrbasicneeds, etc.
Hint: go to one of these Instagram accounts and see who they follow to find more accounts from campus that may be interesting to you!

How can I get involved in research?
The undergraduate research portal is a great place to start! Also, if you enjoyed a class with a professor, look up their information online to see if they have a lab and then ask if they have any open positions that you could fill.

How can I join an organization/club (academic or sports)?
Sign into Highlander Link to view all student organizations on campus. We also created a list of some orgs that may be specific to your major! If you're interested in a sports club, go to the dedicated rec center webpage.

What mental health resources are there?
The Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS) is the primary mental health resource on campus.

What resources do I have for math?
The primary resource should be your professor and/or TA since they have the most knowledge of your specific class. Go to their office hours and be prepared with questions you have. Make sure you attempt the problems on your own and show them what work you have attempted for best results!
The ARC has a Tutorial Assistance Program, which can help with various math and science classes.

How can I get a job on campus?
You can find on (and off) campus jobs on the Handshake portal.

Where can I get headshots and other employment assistance?
You can take your own headshots at the career center's R'Professional Photo Booth.
